Never Fail Seven Minute Frosting

Sent from my cousin Glenda Satterfield Brannigan and highly recommends on a fresh coconut cake.

Ingredients:
3 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract



Instructions:
Place water in bottom of a double boiler and let it come to a boil. In the top of the double boiler mix all ingredients. (Except the extracts to be added at the end). Then place over boiling water and beat with an electric mixer for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add extracts and beat. Spread over cake. I use this with boxed cake mix and I top the frosting with the frozen coconut or you could use canned coconut or this is good with a devils food cake mix cake. Enjoy!
