2 Step Pound Cake

This recipe is from the Feb 2000 Southern Living Magazine and has been one of our favorites. This is an excellent cake and it won't last long!!!

Ingredients:
4 cups plain flour (or cake flour)
3 cups sugar
1 lb. butter (softened)
3/4 cup milk
6 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:
Put ingredients in a 4 quart bowl
Beat at low speed with heavy duty electric mixer for 1 minutes (stopping to scrape the sides)
Beat 2 minutes at medium speed
Pour into a greased and floured 10 tube pan

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes
