Cream Wafers

Christmas Classic from Nancy Charbonneau my Mother-in-law. Not as easy as it seems. Her's are always much better! Enjoy!
DELICIOUS!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter softened
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 cups flour

Instructions:
Mix chill and cover. When chilled roll out and cut out with a coke bottle cap. Dip in sugar and place on cookie sheet.
Place fork marks on each cookie and bake 7 minutes at 350 F degrees. Cookies will stay white.

Prepare filling:
1/4 cup soft butter
3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
mix together and dot onto wafer cookies above.
Filling can be colored any color to suit the occasion.
Not as easy as appears!
