Strawberry Cake

From the recipes of Betty DeBord

Ingredients:
1 package white (vanilla) cake mix
1 package strawberry jello
1 pint frozen strawberries
3/4 cup Crisco All Vegetable Shortening
1/4 cup water
4 eggs beaten
use only 1/2 of the frozen berries, save remainder for filling

Instructions:
Bake per package directions for time and temperature on the cake. Combine all ingredients above. Note*** Reserve half of frozen berries for filling.
Filling Recipe as follows:
1 Box of powdered sugar
3/4 stick of margarine
Remaining berries
Mash well and blend until creamy
Spread on Cake
